Alamo Students Visit the Pumpkin PatchAlamo students got ready for Halloween by visiting the Mandujano Brothers' Pumpkin Patch in Coyanosa. Students got to see the farm operation's center, listen to a book about pumpkins and learn how a farmer grows pumpkins. Each student selected a pumpkin to take home. Many students searched for several minutes for the perfect pumpkin. The only restriction was that the student had to be able to carry the pumpkin without help from an adult. The day started off as a cool, fall day but quickly warmed up. Everyone enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air. It was also Red Ribbon Week at Alamo and many of the children were dressed in the 1950's style. The theme of the day was "Send Drugs to the Past". If you look closely at the pictures, you will see girls in poodle skirts and big scarves and boys with slicked back hair. We would like to say 'Thank You' to Mr. Mandujano and his staff for allowing us to visit their farm.
