Welcome to the web site for the Fort Stockton Intermediate School. We are an elementary school focusing on 4th and 5th Grade students. Our purpose is to maximize student achievement and realize success for every student. We have small class sizes, accelerated programs and excellent facilities including three computer labs.
Moving from our school to the Middle School can be a frightening thing for many 5th Graders. To make the transition smoother, the Middle School Counselors have met with our students and parents. If you have additional questions or need more information, please contact either Penny Dulaney or Doris Everett at (432) 336-4131.
Mrs. Franco and Mrs. Gonzales are selling yearbooks for the 2009-2010 school year. The cost is $25.00 for the yearbook. It is not too late to order your yearbook but names can no longer be added to them. Stop by to see Mrs. Franco or Mrs. Gonzales to place your order or call the school at (432) 336-4141.
Our 5th grade students made their annual trek to Belding Farms on November 6, 2009. At the farms, they rotated through a variety of different stations addressing irrigation techniques, pecan harvesting and processing, plant ID, insect collection and identification, campfire cooking, etc. The visit was sponsored by the Texas A&M Agrilife Science Extension Service, Natural Resource and Conservation Service, Trans-Pecos SWCD, and Belding Farms. Pictures have been added to the Photo Gallery!
Fort Stockton Intermediate students have started their 2009-2010 school year with a sense of purpose as they took it upon themselves to help a couple of current and former students.
Yasmin is currently a student at our school and has gone through several hip surgeries lately. She is a strong girl and our whole school is encouraging her to get well soon! We decided to combine a fundraiser for Yasmin with some fun! We had a Hat Day! For only 25 cents, students and staff got to violate the dress code for an entire day by wearing a hat inside the building! Everyone was very cooperative!

Coleman, who is now a 6th Grader at Fort Stockton Middle School, also recently had surgery. To raise money to help Coleman and his family, we had Spirit Day! This just happened to be the same day our 5th Graders were invited to attend the High School pep rally. All our 5th Graders were able to show off their Panther Pride!
Everyone at Fort Stockton Intermediate School wishes Yasmin and Coleman the very best! We hope and pray that you both get well soon! Thank you to all the staff and PTO who took part in our fundraisers and especially to Dr. Hanson for letting these events take place!
