  • Juan Saldana is a graduate of O.W. Holmes High School, San Antonio, TX and Texas State University, San Marcos, TX. He has been a music educator for 16 years, having taught and served in public schools throughout Texas. Those school districts include Marathon ISD, Throckmorton CISD, Utopia ISD, Culberson County-Allamoore ISD, San Antonio ISD, Victoria ISD, Shiner ISD, May ISD, and Pearsall ISD. Bands under his direction have achieved UIL and Festival distinctions of Superior Performance in both Marching and Concert competitions. The music ensembles under his leadership have competed at the State level of UIL Marching Competitions and performed at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention.

    Mr. Saldana holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston-Victoria and a Master's degree in Educational Technology from Sul Ross State University. He has served as Principal for Marathon ISD and Presidio Elementary School. His hobbies include traveling, playing Native American Flute, golf, photography, and piloting drones.

    Mr. Saldana's most rewarding and proud achievement has been seeing his students continue into adulthood being great people and citizens in their chosen professions, careers, and communities. He is also honored that there are many students who he has had the pleasure of teaching throughout his career who have decided to take up education as their career. He currently serves as the Assistant Principal for Fort Stockton High School.
