Hello, my name is Sylvia Bernal and I am excited about starting my third year as an assistant principal. It's wonderful to be back at Alamo Elementary, where my teaching career started. I have served as the campus curriculum director and previously taught for 20 years as a bilingual educator. Through my years as a classroom teacher, I have watched students grow as they have learned how to read. I have been able to serve as a mentor to teachers and strive to be the best in my field. I am eager to use my expertise in the classroom and apply this knowledge as an assistant principal.
