FSISD Spotlight

The first grade team is happy to announce Michelle Salado Ortega as the August Student of the Month. Michelle displays a positive attitude and strong motivation to learn and help others. Michelle takes great pleasure in reading and math and uses this delight to drive her further towards success in the classroom. Michelle demonstrates outstanding citizenship and character as she strives to build upon her current knowledge and inspire others while doing so. Michelle's character reflects humility, honesty, ambition, and respect. She is always eager to ask questions and is confident in her answers. She is an all around star student! We are very proud of you, Michelle and look forward to your many achievements.

Charleigh Wynne is the Alamo Student of the Month. She is currently a third grade student. Although it’s only been 1 week of school, Charleigh has made a big impression on her teachers. Charleigh is a soft spoken, kind student. She is supportive of her classmates and her school. She has a great attitude and we know that we can count on her to do whatever is asked of her. We appreciate Charleigh very much. We are excited to see what great things this year holds for her!

Intermediate’s student of the month for August has been described as a “go getter”. During the first week of school our 4th graders had to adjust to a lot of walking around to different classes and memorizing where to go. Viviana ‘rocked’ every moment of learning her new schedule and going with the flow of things. She has also been the fastest student to get the hang of the classroom procedures in all her classes and has been very helpful with everyone around her. Her teachers have said that she shows pride in her work and has an amazing work ethic so far this year. She enjoys helping others and she is one of TEAM Intermediates new shining stars! Please help me in congratulating TEAM Intermediate’s August Student of the Month, 4th grader Viviana Soto.

I am thrilled to share that FSMS TEAM has selected Sebastian Sanchez as our August Student of the Month. Sebastian, an 8th grader, was nominated by our dedicated staff for his exemplary qualities. His teachers consistently describe him as a wonderful student—always prepared and eager to learn. His positive attitude and willingness to participate make him a joy to have in class. Additionally, Sebastian is an active member of the Middle School Symphonic Band, where he shines as a key Trumpet player. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Sebastian and his parents for their support, and we eagerly anticipate the great things he will accomplish in the future.

The FSHS Student of the Month is senior, Alexia Dominguez. Alexia is both a scholar and an athlete, as well as an Honors/Dual Credit student and a community volunteer. Alexia does not shy away from a challenge, and her work ethic and character are representative of the values and attributes that we hope all of our Panthers and Prowlers will come to embody. Mrs. Barragan, the FSHS Student Council sponsor added: Alexia led the student council at every West Texas Food Bank distribution. She often worked in sweltering, hot conditions always smiling while serving others. Alexia is a true example of a leader at school, at church, and in her community. Alexia is also enrolled in the Midland College certified nursing assistant program, and she has taken or will take enough Dual Credit classes during her time at FSHS to be almost a junior year college student when she graduates from high school next May!
