Pre-Season Tri-Meet
Our Middle School 8th graders had a unique opportunity to compete in a preseason Tri meet against Monahans and Pecos Tuesday, December 12th.
Carla Vazquez started the season with a personal best and shattering a school record by 11 seconds in the 100 Individual medley race placing 3rd! This one is the first of many record breakers to be achieved this season by these Middle school swimmers.
The Medley relay of Edaina Sanchez, Cydneii Ramirez, Carla Vazquez, and Megan Hanson placed 2nd and the 200 Free Relay of Vazquez, Hanson, Lianah Acosta, and Ramirez placed 3rd. Individuals placing in the top 8 are:
50 free- Vazquez 4th, Cydneii Ramirez 5th, Jemina Mireles-Parra 6th, and Lianah Acosta 8th.
100 free- Lianah Acosta 6th, Cydneii Ramirez 7th, and Carly Sandoval 8th.
50 Back- Megan Hanson 3rd and Jemina Mireles-Parra 4th.

Javier Hignojos and Grayson Foster and had personal bests.
Hignojos place 4th in the 50 free while Foster brought in a 7th in the 50 free and 6th in the 100 free.
We are so proud of these athletes and excited for what is to come in February when our Middle School season begins!!
