Andrews Tennis Tournament
This weekend, our tennis team competed in the Andrews Tennis Tournament. Our 7th Grade Team had a fantastic tournament dominating their brackets including an All-Fort Stockton Championship match between Daniel Hernandez/Alexsandra Navarrette and AJ Marquez/Destiny Munoz. Our 8th Grade Team had a tough time finding their best form, but they competed well, and produced some good matches.
7th Grade Team Highlights:
Mixed Doubles Champions: Daniel Hernandez/Alexsandra Navarrette
Mixed Doubles 2nd Place: AJ Marquez/Destiny Munoz.
Girls Doubles 3rd Place: Rose Vega/Raquelle Jimenez
Girls Singles Consolation Champion: Seidi Elias
8th Grade Team Highlights:
Consolation Finalists: Daphnee Munoz/Ayerim Rodriguez
Honorable Mentions:
Bryson Delarosa (7th Grade) played his first tournament as a Singles player, and had two very competitive matches.
Gabriel Ramirez (7th Grade) was dealt a very tough draw, but he embraced the challenge, and fought for every point.

Italy Rodriguez (8th Grade) entered the tournament expecting to play Doubles, but had a last minute switch to Singles, and then produced two very close matches against really good competition.
