Prowler Volleyball records a program sweep of district foe Pecos
Fort Stockton, Texas (Sept. 26, 2023)-- Fort Stockton Volleyball hosted district foe Pecos on Tuesday night. The Prowlers brought the brooms and emerged victorious at all levels.
The varsity team secured a stellar victory with scores of 25-20, 25-17 and 15-10. Alyssa added 17 assists on the night, while Addison Castro had 10. Leading the charge on the offensive for the Prowlers was, the birthday girl, Amaya Urias who tallied 13 kills. Aryanna Gonzalez held down the back line with 25 digs followed by Ivanna Ortiz with 12 and Castro with 10. Mia Garcia and Gonzalez each added two aces. Both the freshman and junior varsity squads each secured a victory.
"It's always great to win, but it's even better to secure some key wins during district," Head Coach Jessica Tully-Mitchell stated. "We are starting to connect and do great things. Tonight's victory is a testament to the hard work that the Prowlers are putting into practice each day. The sub-varsity teams winning before our matches was the best part."
The Prowlers are set to host the Seminole Maidens on Saturday, Sept. 30. Games are set to begin at 11 a.m. The theme for the game is "Prowler Volleyball Family Day".
