Prowler Volleyball at Midland Legacy

Midland, Texas (Sept. 5, 2023) -- The Prowler Volleyball program traveled to Midland to take on Midland Legacy High School in a non district contest. Teams competing in the games included the freshman, junior varsity, junior varsity white and varsity teams.

Varsity took a tough loss with scores of 20-25, 18-25 and 12-25. The Midland Legacy Rebels proved to be a tough opponent, but they were able to provide the Prowlers with a practice plan of things to improve moving forward.

"It is always tough to lose, but I know that our program is getting stronger with each game," Coach Tully-Mitchell stated. "As we get closer to district, we are trying to mentally and physically prepare ourselves for what is to come."

The sub varsity squads were unsuccessful in securing a victory, but have shown tremendous growth when it comes to Head Coach Tully-Mitchell's style of play. Each of the three teams had positives come out of the losses. The teams will now go to their regularly scheduled freshman and junior varsity teams for the remainder of the season.

The Prowlers will now look ahead to their dual match at Lubbock High School. Fort Stockton is set to take on Lubbock High School as well as Amarillo Tascosa. Varsity is set to compete at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Junior Varsity is set to play at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. Freshmen will take the court at 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.
