Lubbock Christian Invitational
The Fort Stockton High School and Middle School Cross Country teams returned to the course after being rained out last week at the Lubbock Christian Invite. Seven high school runners attacked the course at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock,Texas. The Panther boys were led by Diego Ronquillo with a time of 21:07.00 followed by Jose Aguilar (22:15.60) and Santiago Torango (23:49.90). The boys competed with 102 other boys in the 4A division of the meet. Coach Glasscock was pleased with the boys' effort. " This is a great opportunity to run a mentally challenging course and learn from the experience in order to better their future times". The Prowlers were up to the task as they competed against state powers in Dumas and Canyon. Summer Hinojos finished the course with a 14:19.70 two mile time. Ingrid Aguilar (15:29.50), Madi Castro (17:44.70) and Natalie Edwards (19:23.20) also competed and showed great determination in completing the difficult course. Coach Glasscock stated, " I am very proud of our panthers and prowlers and the grit and determination they displayed today against some of the best that this state has to offer. These athletes improved today and that is what matters."
