Andrews Sprint Extravaganza
Blue Wave competed in the Andrews Sprint Extravaganza swim meet on Saturday, October 14th. This is year one of rebuilding the swim program and meet number 4...Extraordinary doesn't begin to explain this team. Out of 10 teams at this Sprint meet, Blue Wave placed 5th overall with 177.5 points!!
Blue Wave MVP of this meet is Asher Palacios, dropping 17 seconds in his 200 Freestyle race! That's an incredible improvement in just one week!!
Highlights of the Meet:
Julian Ontiveros placed 8th in the 25 free
Rylan Jimenez placed 6th in the 25 free
Kassidy Pacheco placed 8th in 50 free
Girls 200 sprint relay dropped 5 seconds to get 8th place
Boys 200 sprint relay also placed 8th.
The swimmers also enjoyed the ellipse event that was carefully scheduled during this meet!! Great educational experience!!
Blue Wave's next meet is on October 28th in Monahans!
