The Varsity started out slow but as the game went on the Panthers would begin to find their rhythm. The starting pitcher for the Panthers was Rylan Nunez and he did an excellent job. Julien Leyva would come in to relieve and he was great keeping the Panthers in the game. In the sixth inning Isaiah Velasquez would bring in three runs with an inside the park homerun giving the Panthers a one run lead. Gerry Diaz would get the last out of the game by picking off an unsuspecting Brownfield base runner. The Panthers won the game 4-3. The next game for the Panthers will be on Thursday at 4:30pm in the Comanche Classic Baseball Tournament.
