Last night the Panthers competed against Seminole to open up district play. The Panthers started off slow, giving up 4 runs in the first 3 innings and they struggled at the plate for a few innings as well. In the 4th inning the Panthers would score a run to cut the Seminole lead to 3 runs. In the 6th inning the Panthers would score 2 more runs and in the bottom of the 7th inning the Panthers would tie the game up on a hit by Gerry Diaz. The Panthers would eventually lose the game in the 8th inning 4-5. Rylan Nunez started the game on the mound and Julian Leyva would come in as a relief pitcher. The Panthers will be back in action at home on Friday the 22nd against Monahans.
