Last night the Panthers competed against Monahans in a thrilling 1-0 ballgame that the Panthers would win. Gerry Diaz would start on the mound for the Panthers. Gerry struck out 13 batters and only allowed one hit on the night. Julian Leyva, Bryan Encinas and Corbin Luna would each get a hit for the Panthers. Bryan Encinas would score the lone run for the Panthers off of a sacrifice fly from Corbin Luna. Julian Leyva came in to relief pitch in the 7th inning and he would get the last three outs by striking out the side.
