Varsity vs. Greenwood

The Fort was the site for the first district contest between the Prowlers and the Greenwood Rangerettes. Despite some great defensive plays, the Prowlers would lose 4-0 to open up district play. Gabby Madrid pitched 7.0 innings giving up nine hits and only four runs. Coach Glasscock, "Gabby pitched her butt off but we were too jumpy at the plate and their pitcher gave us fits. I am proud of how we played defensively but too many base running errors and all of that is on me as the head coach. We will get it fixed, I promise you that." Gabby Madrid led the offense with a double and triple while Jocelynn Arcides laced a triple. The next day, the Prowlers returned to action against Permian and would end up on the short side 8-7. Gabby Madrid would pitch another strong game and would strike out seven on the day; however the five walks would score and the offense could not muster another run in the defeat. Mia Garcia and Kriselda Porras would homer to lead the offensive attack while Ivanna Ortiz and Bailey Roberts would add two hits a piece and a triple by Alondra Encinas.
