Dr. Kenneth Vogel

 Greetings!

I am proud to be the principal of Fort Stockton High School. The 2023-24 school year marks the beginning of my twenty-second year in public education. My passion has always been high school administration, which I have enjoyed a career in since 2006. This is my second stint as a head principal after serving four years in that capacity in Bandera ISD, in Bandera, Texas. My Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degree are all from the University of Texas at San Antonio. San Antonio is my hometown, and I am a tremendous UTSA Roadrunner football fan- Birds Up!

My wife, Kassie and I have seven children between us, and the last two recently graduated from high school! We moved to West Texas, in part, to be closer to the Blue Origin launch facility near Van Horn, Texas. However, we are both West Texas enthusiasts, and have traveled here often. Fort Stockton gives us the opportunity to be closer to Blue, but also not too far from our children back east. Since the move, we have fallen in love with the Fort Stockton community and its wonderful people. It is a special place to be!

While the Fort Stockton community is one rich in the history of the "old west", FSHS is a vibrant and modern high school with cutting edge programs, advanced academics, engaging fine arts, elite athletics, and multiple pathways for students to follow to postsecondary success. Our first class facilities and diverse faculty help to give our Panthers and Prowlers every opportunity to achieve their goals and pursue their dreams. We are a dynamic educational community dedicated to the relentless pursuit of excellence in all that we do. I am so very thankful to be part of the Fort Stockton family. I sense that we are on the threshold of great things at FSHS and in FSISD, and I am beyond excited to be a part of what comes next!

Sincerely,

Dr. Kenneth Vogel, Principal
