Greetings to all Panthers and Prowlers!

It is my honor and pleasure to welcome you to the 2023 – 2024 school year! I am extremely proud to serve as the Assistant Principal of this amazing learning community and to support the students of Fort Stockton ISD!  As we have all grown in the last few years to be more resilient, more unified, and better equipped to handle an ever-changing landscape, this new school year brings the promise of a renewed dedication, focus, and energy to the mission of teaching and learning. 

I was born and raised in the south Texas area.  My husband, Jim, and I have two grown children, one who is a hospice nurse and the other who is a wildlife biologist.  While in south Texas, I completed my Bachelor of Business Administration degree at Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi.   After relocating to west Texas with my husband who was a Texas Game Warden, I began my career in education at Culberson County-Allamoore ISD as a teacher of special education.  And from there, my passion for working with students, and supporting and nurturing them to reach their potential, flourished.  With a strong desire to work closer to my home community, I moved my career to Fort Davis ISD as a teacher of special education, school counselor, and secondary principal.  During this time, I obtained my Master of Education in School Counseling degree from Sul Ross State University.  Immediately prior to my position at Fort Stockton ISD, I completed my nineteenth year in education as a school counselor and secondary principal at Marfa ISD.   

As your Assistant Principal, I look forward each day to strengthening the relationships with all of you, our wonderful students, families, teachers, and talented staff.  I welcome the opportunity to partner with you on a journey to continue serving the children and families of the Fort Stockton community.  My promise to you is to fulfill the mission of Fort Stockton ISD..."to remain totally committed to the development of students as life-long learners and productive, self-sustaining contributors to society."
